Fiddle Field

Fiddle Field, so called on account of its shape, lies within the Redburn Country Park, adjacent to the cemetery. 

Over the last few years we have been working with the NI Environment Agency and Ards and North Down Borough Council, as well as local residents, to create a community growing space. 

We have just recently received the requisite permissions to move ahead with preparing the site (approx. half an acre) for the growing of organic fruit and vegetables. 

We will shortly be putting out a call for volunteers to help with work on the site - watch this space!

We hope that this venture will provide a range of fresh produce for our local communities whilst bringing people together to enjoy the establishment of a sustainable source of healthy, affordable food.
